Visitors
We are happy to host international visiting academics who have their personal grant support and whose work relates to our goals. This also applies to e.g. visiting PhD students and Erasmus students who want to do a research internship (preferably several months) with us. We do not charge a bench fee and will provide a desk space, computer, and access to the necessary research infrastructure.
Prospective PhD students
Funding for PhD students with medical degree capable of working with the patients in Finnish is currently available. We may also consider candidates with a master’s degree on a related field (psychology, biomedical engineering, physics etc) from a well-respected university who have already secured funding for completing their PhD studies. We cannot supervise students without funding or support their applications to the University’s PhD program as all our PhD students are essentially research team members.
Master’s students
We are can supervise master’s theses for medical students from the University of Turku. We will also host the medical rotation for the 1st year students and are delighted to take students on board every summer. Please see the faculty of medicine pages for details. Unfortunately we have no resources for supervising master’s students from other disciplines.
Open positions
Whenever we have open fully funded PhD student or research scientist positions, they will be posted on the University of Turku website.
